The first block to be built is for single members of staff, mainly the nannies. As you can see from the pictures, the walls are nearly complete and then the roof will be installed. Following the roofing the following phases will be undertaken:

1. Rendering both internal and external walls

2. Tiling the floor, installing doors and windows

3. Electrical and plumbing installation works

4. Painting

5. Construction of an external pit latrine

6. Furnishing

This accommodation will provide a great boost for the staff, and is vital for retention, recruitment and for their protection. Currently, many of them rent properties a considerable distance away and travelling to FOP is a challenge during the rainy season.
