Rachel Cross

Rachel works as a grant funding specialist, and it is through this role that she learned of FOP. Rachel strongly felt the Lord’s call to get involved and support the organisation in a voluntary capacity.

Rachel has a degree in Psychology & Linguistics from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Health Psychology from Ulster. She completed a year as a church ministry intern before moving into Christian fundraising — a sector she has now worked in for the last 5 years. As a fundraising consultant, her work now involves navigating charity governance and supporting trustee boards to make more effective decisions.

Rachel is an active member of her local church in Cheltenham, where she serves primarily on the mission support committee. She has had a heart for international mission and poverty relief for as long as she can remember, and has participated in short-term projects in south-east Asia and Europe. This is the first time she has had personal involvement in an African NGO, which she is hugely excited about.

In her free time, Rachel loves travelling, exploring and being outdoors. At home, you may also find her chilling out with her rescue cat, Mavis, a cryptic crossword, and a nice, strong cup of Yorkshire tea!
